The basis for ZETT MESS Technik GmbH, Meßmaschinen was created in 1960, more than 40 years ago. From the very beginning, ZETT MESS was involved in designing and constructing precision machines and special machines.

The development of the product program led to many innovations from the measuring machine sector, which were protected by a correspondingly large number of patents. ZETT MESS produces the best dust and dirt-proof column measuring machines in the world, which are protected by patents.

At the beginning of the eighties, a non-contact laser scanning system using the triangulation procedure was developed by ZETT MESS (as the first measuring machine manufacturer) together with the University of Göttingen. This system was continuously developed further. It serves as the basis for the digitalisation of unknown surfaces. This system is supplemented by the appropriate image processing.
